The Difference Story |
Hello and welcome to Our Story. I say Welcome because this is truly an opportunity to be a part of it. My name is Allan Dubyts and I am the founder of the online training tools known as SafeAndCertified.com and TrainingToDo.com. |
Each day people ask me a difficult question, "what do you do?". And I have answered that in a number of ways, usually based on what I saw myself doing. And then one time the person asked a second time, "no, what do you do for other people?". This made me see things differently and led to our mission of "Making a Difference" for other people. |
As we started to change our thinking from who can we find to use this technology to how can we make a difference for people who have a need to learn it all changed and we realized that we could all be part of something really big. And that notion of being part of something that would affect people on a scale of millions took hold. |
What we do changed from being focused on our technology and looking inward to talking to people and hearing about their challenges for educating and training people. Each day we talk to people and hear their story and find ways to work together. Some people are taking safety training so they can do their job safely and return home each day to their loved ones and family. Some people are taking required training as part of getting a new job and all of the excitement starting a new job brings with it. Some people are taking volunteer training so they can give back to their community. Some people are taking courses in sales to learn how to better represent their company and customers and support themselves. And some people are following their passions learning how to be better at fishing. |
My question to you is, "what can we do with you, to make a difference?". You may be interested in training for yourself, for a group of people in your organization, maybe you have an association you are part of who needs help, or maybe you have an area of expertise that you want to share with the world. I believe everyone has a need for training, has the ability to provide training, or knows someone else who does.
